About Us
Floral Trade Distributors was founded in 2012 by Chip Cox and Ricardo Gomez.
Chip and Ricardo met while selling flowers at the farm level in southern California. Ricardo grew up through the field ranks on the farming side of the industry and Chip was raised up in a family wholesale Floral business. The two together created a combination of understanding the needs of both the products being shipped and the customer's satisfaction from the time the products are growing in the field to the time they are being enjoyed by the end consumer. Ricardo and Chip started out with just a rental box truck taking turns driving and consolidating products up and down the central coast of California to San Diego.
Ten years later the company has blossomed into one of the leading and go-to logistic companies on the west coast for the commercial cut flower industry. Now spanning across the US, Canada and Mexico, Floral Trade remains committed to its values and the fact that they sell a service and not a product focusing on taking care of the individual needs of each customer knowing that our greatest ability is our availability.
